After much anticipation, the highly talented Woodley Saints Cubs took to the field for their first match. Captained by the boy mountain, Ben Preece, the Cubs boasted the striking talents of Louis D’Souza, Alex Pitfield, Jacob Clark and Reece Bennett.
In two nail biting games, Whiteknights and the Cubs slugged it out for the ultimate victory. Despite some great play and good scoring opportunities, this was a day when the defence and keepers came out on top.
Fun was had by all the players who are relishing the chance to take on the talented Whiteknights team again on March 29th.
