A few notes for the hammers tournament
I have had quite a few enquiries about two topics......dogs & studs !!
I thought it was worthwhile clarifying both subjects.
Dogs:
I am sorry but we have been asked by Berkshire College of Agriculture not to allow dogs at the Tournament.
Studs:
In our Tournament rules we have stated that screw-in studs and soft ground blades will only be permitted with prior permission.
This has been a standard rule of ours for previous Tournaments. It is included for safety reasons at the request of the referees. In the past we have only not allowed them when the ground has been very hard. With the current ground conditions we do not see a problem with your players wearing screw-in studs or soft ground blades provided they are in good condition and meet the normal safety standards. We would, however, ask your players also to bring trainers / mouldeds as an alternative.
I would be grateful if you could communicate this to your players and spectators.
We are looking forward to hosting you at our Tournament and hope you enjoy yourselves over the weekend.
Kind regards
