Talented duo make Saints debut.
Jack Wilmott and Alex Followell both made their long awaited debuts in the round robin friendlies at Berks County Sports today. Jack, a strong defender who reads the game well and Alex, a speedy trickster, both put in impressive performances for their respective teams.
Lions manager Steve was unavailable for comment due to taking part in a celebrity golf tournament alongside Bruce Forsyth but assistant manager Joe Locke said 'Considering that Jack didn't know anyone on the team I thought he did very well. Not scared to tackle and a good reader of the game, Jack is a welcome addition to the squad'.
When asked about Alex's performance, Lee commented 'Well, we've got player who will give Sam and Max a race for their money. Alex has a good touch and his early link up play will mean he fits right in. After only 15 minutes of football with the Tigers, he was chatting to all the lads as if he'd been there all season.'
Rumours abound that Chief Scout Ruffle has unearthed another Charvil Academy player to bring the Tigers up to the desired 10 players. More to follow...
